What do you guys think?

and the brackets are welded to 1/4 inch steel plates that are welded about 4 inch welds on each side then the bracket stubs are welded to the plates

Now the pigs can't pull you have for having people in the back of your truck:headbang::icon_hornsup::yahoo:

I'm lovin it!!

I'd like a chaise put in my bed so that I could cuddle with the girlfriend with the camper shell on.

That would be tight!

Sure they can. Those aren't safe seatbelts.

Rear-end the car in front of you and whoever is sitting in those bench seats will get killed. Similarly, the bed will cut the rear seat belts.

What a POS. You're going to kill someone.

Thats legal in Florida and Texas! I know that for sure because my uncle has some seats in the back of his truck and as long as there are seat belts your cool!

makg why r u such a downy to this idea when i first posted it as just na idea you were a downy then to lol and thos seat belts were 70 dollars from jcwhitney and are dot approved and it is legal and think about it really my passengers are probably safer there than just sitting in the bed

although in my opinion he went about it COMPLETELY wrong, MAKG made a couple points. if you do use that on the road, they are not exactly the safest lookin seats in the house, and if you get ass-packed, they run a real risk of serious injury. if it just for off road, or picnics, the idea is good and i am jealous. but the bed is not engineered to absorb the impact of a rear-end collision to keep those people safe.

MAKG----take a valium dude. he never said he ran the belts through the bed. they could be bolted to brackets that are welded to the bed or something. and i am sure you NEVER did something that other people looked at you like "wtf?" be nice to the dude or shut up

now what im doin is building a box to set back their level with the seat and when a canopy is on for when i go camping just throw a cheap mattras on top of the canopy and let the friends ride up in back then when you get to the campin spot put the mattrass back there and their i go with a nice cozy dry campin spot and in the picture those seats were just put in real quick to get a pic then they went back to the dry spot in my room lol but when it is sunny or the canopy is on its nice

well the seat belt brakets are never moveing i was gonna mount them to the bed with plates then my welding teacher says to make 1/4 of an inch plates and weld the belts down to them and so i did so the brackets have about 7000 pounds of force until the nylon rips or the welds break because ya its self explanitory lol

Cool Idea! I was thinking about doing that with my ranger.. i Mean i have a toyota 4 runner parked right beside ity one day and i was compairing. my 4 runner with the top off is a pickup. and they come stock with seats in the box. and some cheesy factory roll bar. and its legal so why couldnt that be?

If you have nothing nice to say to TRS users... Dont post at all

or the full size broncos? same deal. but i think makg was just trying to save a life, im sure if you got in a highway crash someone would be seriously hurt. but just for slow driving and off roading... awesome. but for the record, at least in my state, your title says how many maximum occupants, if over(+3) in your case, the police still could give you a big fine. you can change it on your title by renewing it, and say it is a 6 passanger now.
