Got my Ranger last night!

Nice find, tht thing is too clean to be cuttin on too hard

NICE FIND!:icon_thumby: I am so Jealous as I am Rangerless.....:bawling:

Yeah, that's a bummer man. You should go find yourself a cheapy like mine! The previous owner thought the tranny and transfer case were taking a crap, but it turned out to just be a U-joint. :D

wow, thats very clean, only one big dent on the fender, other than that, its execlent restoration material.

Thanks bud. It actually has a pretty good sized dent on the bed (driver side) right on the fender well. At some point someone tried to pull it out, but it was really half assed. I don't mind at all though, eventually the bed is coming off anyway.

Nice looking truck, man! If I were you, I'd stockpile partsand do everything you want driveline wise at once. It's likely got an FM145 in it, so an M5OD and 4.0 clutch would be worlds better. And while you're doing that, you can do D35 and 8.8 in 'er. With driveshafts, you can keep your stock driveshaft if you go with a M5OD and keep the 1350 t-case. The D35 is 2" longer than the 28, but the M5OD is also 2" longer than the FM145. Then, just find yourself that intermediate shaft from the t-case to the carrier bushing from an A4LD 4x4 super cab. Bingo!

Ha ha, that's kind of what i was thinking, but then I told myself "That's what I bought it for". I'm not going to do a hack job on it, it should look pretty good when I'm done cutting. Much like Shran did, I'm going to leave some of the flare on the fender. (I won't be using a sawzall)

Nice build by the way Country!

You are the man! Stockpiling parts, and getting it all done at the same time, would be ideal. Unfortunatley I think I'm gona to have to do it in fazes. With this years tax return, I'll be able to get the lift, D35, and hopefully tires. The M5OD, and 8.8 are going to have to wait till spring probably. I'm mostly worried about that D28 at the moment. That, and manual hubs! My push button is working fine, but.... well, ya know..
