while taking the console out of the explorer i noticed the mounting brackets was bolted to the floor, which had its own bracketish thing built right into the floor. now im assuming all consoles had this at one point, and it is not detachable from the floor of the explorer. how did you guys (whoever did this swap) mount the bracket to the floor of your ranger?? just bolt it straight to the floor? did you have to use any washers etc to level it out? thanks

are you talking about the metal A frame or the plastic bracket? Either way, I just bolted them to the floor after cutting away some carpet.

im talking about this built in mount... where the console would be bolted to the floor theres like an anchor for the brackets built in the floor. but it seems you have answered my question and ill just bolt her down to the floor like you said

I just took one out of an Explorer myself, I know what you are talking about... I just plan on using the bracket that mounted to that piece and bolting it to the floor myself.....
