Ok so me and a couple of my buddy's were talking about a friends truck that he had rolled over and the point that was brought up was when a truck is rolled is it safe to roll it to the wheels and start it or can it cause problems internally ? I belive it can for a couple reasons 1) lack of oil ( if it drains out ) and 2 hydro locking the pistons with oil ? Am I wrong or is it a concerne ?

you have some valid concerns. if it sat on its top or sides for any length of time, let it sit on its wheels for a while, check the oil and other fluids that might have leaked out and top off as necessary, and remove the spark plugs if you think it has sat long enough for oil to fill the cylinders and then crank it. (will blow oil all over the place...you might want some rags to catch it.) put spark plugs back in, check oil level and fire it up.

Ok see that was my argument but all my friends except 1 are Chevy fans and they say it completely ok to come back the next day or that night roll it over and fire the darn thing up I'm just hopeing they will learn there lesson without replacing the motor

An upside down truck is like a refrigerator you laid on its back.... It can be doen but best wait a couple hours once you turn it right side up again....

The crack about Chevy guys..... TRUE
