Gastank leak

92 2.3 Ranger this might be the wrong spot for it but I need to figure out if my leak is coming from the filler hose or the tank itself when it was leaking after the last fillup it was coming down the side of the tank and about 1/2 gallon was lost so Im guessing that was the filler hose. My question is what would be easier dropping the tank or Lifting the bed and leaving it mounted?

Lift the bed. It's really easy. Get a T55 torx socket and remove the 6 bed bolts, the 3 filler neck screws and check everything out.

Don't forget the light plug under the back of the bed, but lift the bed is the easiest.

Thanks guys guess thats the direction im gonna take. Will I have to remove my bedliner to do it?

Yes. There are bolts that hold the bed to the frame are under the bedliner.
Four of them go through the bed to the frame.

The filler hoses on this era of rangers are notorious for craking. I've replaced the one on my 94 allready. And if you're smart, unlike me, you'll find a replacement online. I went to ford and paid a small fortune for mine($386 to be exact) you can find them online for around 75 bux. good luck.
