Fuel vapor smell coming from truck

So far I've made a visual inspection and laid a sheet of cardboard under it and have found no duel in liquid form. It's got a very strong smell, however. The vapor canister is missing the caps, could this be the problem?

Edit this. Took lunch at work and fuel is steady dripping from my tank area. Gonna pull the bed when I get home.

The fuel filler hose is the first thing I would look at because it's common for them to crack.

Take a good look at the emissions crap while its out. If any its good time for a little PM.
