I was out snow wheeling today when my BII shut off. I couldn't hear the fuel pumps running so I messed with the relay. it started and ran until I started to move the truck. I got a new relay and I took the relay plug off an old 2.9 wiring harness I had laying around because the plug in my truck looked like it could be the culprit. I replaced the plug and the relay and still no luck with the pumps engaging. So I checked the schrader valve on the fuel rail and it didn't have any pressure behind it. There was none. I checked the fuse for the fuel pump and it was good.

I luckily didn't have to walk out of the field cause I had my buddy with his BII with me. We went and got a tractor to pull my BII back to the house at the road (it is my future in-laws house). So it is sitting there until I can figure it out.

Any help?

did you check your ECU relay? i think the power goes to that relay first and then the fuel pump relay.

If I remember right, I had power on the relay at different points.

That isn't it. I have already tried resetting it and by passing it.

Have you verified that there is power at the pump? If not, trace it back till you find it.

+1 you probably got a short somewhere. maybe at the high pressure pump if the frame rails got packed with snow

I was tracing some wires out today from the inertia switch back into the engine compartment and found a broke ground wire about 6" off the battery where it went back into the wiring harness. Fixed it and it fired right up.

Thanks for the help.
