Fuel pressure regulator "quick disconnect" - what's the 'trick' to this thing? -

Ok - got my new fuel pressure regulator (as show above) and finally pried apart that dang "quick disconnect" that slips onto the long fuel line protruding from the regulator. Now that I've done it the wrong way (and am heading to the auto parts store for a new o-ring hoping to stop the disconnect from leaking...) - how are you supposed to 'officially' disconnect the "quick disconnect"?

I'll pick up one of those awful Hayne's manuals while I'm there... What's the best source for factory service manuals?

Earl - thanks for the quick reply. Oddly enough... in addition to what local parts houses say is a 4.0L regulator; the 'quick disconnect' doesn't look like any of the three shown in the Hayne's manual. It just has the clam-shell cover and a slip fit to the regulator. With a little effort I was able to get it apart.

Replaced the disconnect o-ring, did a better job of seating the regulator o-ring and the new regulator appears to be leak free now. Idle seems a little better now but will have to get it warmed up to double check.

I appreciate the help & the linkage for FSM's!
