Hey all,
Where is the sensor for the fuel gauge located? The reason I asked is because I notice that when the gauge is close to empty, and I shut the truck off for a bit, the gauge moves to damn near a quarter tank! Is this common? I'm guessing that when the truck is off, the system loses pressure and the fuel flows back to the tank, but that much? Thanks

The fuel gauge sender is in the tank with fuel pump.

Level isn't really changing in the tank, the sender and gauge are a resistance circuit, so with no power gauge will show whatever is has as a neutral position, some go to below empty, some a 1/4, some show a 1/2, never seen one that goes to full.
When key is turned back on gauge should return to actual level.
