Hello all, I have an '07 Ranger Sport and recently I noticed that it has a sort of... crooked? misaligned? sagging? bumper. It is almost like its trying to do this emoji:
It has been like that since I got the car, and I can't really pinpoint why. The front bumper looks to be attached fine with no hardware missing. I thought that maybe its simply sagging on that right side, so I lifted it up but its fixed in that position like how it should be, just a bit higher up. Has anyone experienced this? What could I do to make it seem more straight? It really doesn't bother me much, just kind of interesting...

Check the front mounts and the radiator support. Usually you can see the front body mounts through the front wheel well on each side. There will be rubber mounts, and brackets which are spot welded on either side of the radiator support. These areas like to rust, and then the whole front corner of the truck will drop down, while the bumper stays level.

Interesting… Wouldnt that make the body too close to the bumper though, and not like mine where the bumper is too far from the body?

The bumper mounting bracket holes are enlarged/slotted to give you adjustability. Loosen the hardware, straighten and align it to your liking and tighten everything. It's not hard. Might help to have a friend help hold things while you adjust and tighten.

Wow! That’s great news. Where could I find a diagram of how the bumper is mounted? I am having trouble finding the bracket a need to adjust within the engine bay.

Lay on your back under the bumper and look up where it bolts to the frame.

Finally got around to doing this, thanks!
I was able to just loosen the 4 bolts that bolt the bumper support to the frame, and then I used 2 bar clamps from the support the upper part of the grille. This held the bumper completely flat and as close as it would get to the grille. This has completely fixed my issue, and also made the left side look better as I believe it was slightly dropped. Thanks for the help!

Good job. We knew you could do it.
