I currently have fox body mustang front accessories
I'm looking to switch to explorer front accessories in hopes I will save room and have more tidey setup and gain AC back!
Please post pics so I can see what ur front access to Rad clearance u have.

Thanks again

I am actually going to the JY tomorrow in hopes of getting an Explorer front drive.

Currently running a late 80's CV setup which doesn't warrent a pic IMO, it is about 1/4 longer than the Foxbody mustang setup I grabbed last time thinking it would be shorter. The front end of the car was peeled down so it was easy to get at is why I took a chance on it. Maybe 1/2" between the WP pulley and the radiator.

Kind of off topic, but it looks like you still have a stock styled radiator in the stock location or close to it, what did you use for an upper radiator hose?

Here is an article with a ton of info for doing the swap on the engine, the Bronco related stuff doesn't help either of us much though.

Thanks for the reply man
And actually the thing has a fox mustang Rad in it with mustang Rad hose
Thankfully it will be going when the ugly body lift cones out for an explorer super cooling 4 core using same Rad hose

Any other things ask

I am using a '94 Mustang engine and bracket set for the conversion on my '93. (A '95 Mustang uses the same bracketry.)

IIRC, the "thickness" of the accessory brackets is the same as the Explorer, but some components are in different positions.

ya like the ac and stuff correct? i looked at a couple builds with sn95 and explorer brakcets, I can get all expo accesories for around 80 bucks doubt id find mustang brackets but i like ur input. Any pics?

They're at home - I'll put some up this evening.

The '94-95 Mustang is almost as short as the Explorer. They also have the perk of being able to reuse your existing balancer.

But because they only made them for two years they are nearly non-existant in the JY's of my area, or else I would get one.

Ya I knew they were similar I've done some research. But your right there almost non-existant here too and I can get full expo ones for 80 or cheaper so I decided that was the route for me. Thanks for the reply

The 88-93 T-Bird/Cougar front dress is the same stuff used on the 94-95 Stang motor. The timing cover for these applications was also used in the Explorer/Mountaineer setup.

O sweet I've seen more then a couple of those. Lol but any pics as to clearance?

The T-Bird/Cougar/94-95 Stang/Explorer/Mountaineer FEAD is about 1-1/2" shorter than the others.

Which is exactly y I want them I pierced a exploder 4 core with my water pump first time I got on it. So no I'm going back to 4 core with expo sn95 or tbird front accessories

FYI, it seems there is some special wrench to get the fan off the water pump, and while it is a major PITA the water pump can be removed with the fan still in place.

It is too night to get a normal wrench in there like I could on my V6.

Plan on some time if you have to pull it, there is a lot of crap to deal with.

The Explorer is only a two core radiator.
