i don't see how owner operators make any money.... do you turn a profit? i'm not asking to know your salary or anything. i'm just curious. i know w/ diesel and maintenance and all the dang taxes and crap from the government.. how do you make money?

Well, I do look and see what's on the plates now and when they do expire, too many with plates on them to keep track of. Hell, half the time I don't even know what day it is, just have to remember what was on TV last night. Don't worry, you'll get to that point some day (hopefully).

Yeqah no thanks bud.lol I wouldn't be able to afford that ever.haha

at $1125 i'd hope i'd never have to buy a tag again! lol

and in MS any vehicle parked in a city limit has to be up to date on registration and inspection

:annoyed: I got a ticket today for outdated registration... when its like a day over. you gotta be kiddin me.

A day or a year, out is out, and out is illegal. :nopityA:

Go buy a car cover. Or park so the plates can't be seen from the street.

$1125? You guys have it easy. In British Columbia theres only one insurance company. And theyre controlled by the government. I pay $175 a month with a clean driving record. My buddy who's crashed and has a speeding ticket or 2, pays over 300 a month ($3600 a year)

That's bad.

I pay $15 a month for each of my RBVs.

i can't afford lunch right now. i definitely could not afford the outrageous price for registration. so if you couldn't afford it then yeah that sucks.

if you just put it off then its on you.

Only $15 a month each? Lucky. I pay $265 a month for my Chevy (full coverage, newer truck, 15 over ticket and 2 accidents). Would be $50 extra for the Ranger which I might do next week. Reminds me I haven't gotten a bill for a month.

Older vehicle, minimum coverage (anything more is a waste since I won't report any damage to either vehicle anyway), on an 7 line policy since we have all 4 vehicles, the house, and two life insurance policies on it.

It will go up next month because we are dropping coverage on the S-10 Tuesday.

Yep out is out, if it makes you feel any better I moved to charlotte and hadn't been here 24hrs and got pulled for dead registration. NC has a 30 day lenience but I had totally forgotten about it during the movin, plannin phase so it was a few months out. Luckily the cop laughed, said welcome to charlotte and gave me a warning. I got it renewed the next day lol.
