Freakin police

I understand money being tight but outdated is outdated. Put your glass of haterade down and man up.

IN or at least in Indy, you get notified by mail and if you renew online you get a discounted price. I pay 145/yr for my Ranger and Honda CBR F2. They both have veteran's plates which is an extra 45/plate. I must admit it is nice having them. Cops see me go by doing about 10 over and look the other way after see my plate.

I like the small town I live in. All my trucks and stuff sit outside and the cops wave as they go past. I went up to the police station to complain about a couple people that were coming past the house one day (really didn't want to be THAT guy, but I was tired of it - the last straw was when the one dirtbag that usually flies down a 35 mph road stopped and cussed me out for partially blocking the road with a skid steer loader as I was putting in my new driveway. When I stopped by the police station, the officer there shook my hand and invited me in his office, said that he'd been meaning to stop by one day and introduce himself. We had a nice chat for probably a half hour. And the best part - haven't seen that loudmouth speeder since.:headbang:

But yea, some small towns bring teh suck.

:sexe: Guilty as charged. And it was quite enjoyable. :icon_twisted::icon_rofl:

I hear that sort of thing a lot of times, but I never got stopped when driving my choptop. It's lifted, loud, and ugly (plus it dogtracks REALLY bad when you have both front hubs locked in and in 4x4 on the road). I can pull off the hick redneck look if I want to, but most of the time I don't bother. Jeans and a t-shirt are my everyday apparel.

As far as quotas go.... I know a few police officers. They've all told me that there is no official quota. But if they end up a little short overall in ticket revenue at the end of the month, they expect a better effort to write them. That makes sense, especially after watching a guy with a new 'vette around my old house breaking several traffic laws at once in front of a cop. Of course, the cop was also parked in the local Dunkin Doughnuts.... (sorry to the officers on the board, but it's true).
As far as the quota i was kiddin' but now that makes sense. As far as pullin off the "redneck" look i guess its just the way i look.lol I think the reasin that they crack down on people like me snd not others.(NOT stereotyping.lol) Is because all the ither punks driving around in there hondas thinking it a racecar. It's just i have been pulled over and the officer was trying to find something wrong with my pickup so he could give me a ticket, and I have seen trucks running alot more lift with no mudflaps and ive gotten written up twice:icon_confused:

I'm not makin excuses, I am taking complete responsibility for it i just think that its funny how there are cars/trucks waaay worse off than mine but yet im the one with a ticket on my windshield.

it was always funny when id get followed out by my parents farm. id signal and make a casual turn into a field, go across and back up to the farm. only once did a ltd crown vic try it. was quite funny when he walked up to the porch and asked to be pulled out with a tractor.

up here, 100% they DO have quotas, however it's not really enforced and it's not hard to do, i think it's 10 tickets a month... a good officer can do that in a day... it's not enforced because if you're running an investigation, you don't have time to write tickets, plus, if you aren't tied up with other stuff, and you only write 10 tickets a month, there's something else wrong right there...

i woulda asked him why he was driving through your sod farm, and destroying the crop, then i woulda asked him to 1) pay for the tow, and 2) pay for the damages
