Frankenpack with explorer leafs 3.5-4"?

I have been searching all night on here and haven't quite found what i'm looking for. I am aiming to get 5 inches or so of lift from some spliced explorer and ranger leaves and the belltech shackles, I might just experiment a bit and see what i can get.

I have heard a couple of rumors of different ways to pack these but nothing solid. the flexier the better. The leaves need to be about 3.5 inches on their own, i know stock explorers will give me 2" i also have some add a leaves i could throw in but would prefer to ditch them.

I heard somthing about cutting the eyes off the ranger main leaf and adding that to the exp. leaf? I know there are other ways aswell.

Cut the eyes off the explorer main and pack the explorer leaves in with the ranger leaves. You'll end up with a 7-8 leaf pack thats not too stiff. You'll still need atleast a 1" block. Ran this on my ranger for years.

3" lift (out of the leaf pack alone) is about the most you'll get without the pack becoming ridiculously stiff.

I have Explorer leafs on my BII, to which I have added a stock Ranger main leaf (eyes cut off), and substituted a Rancho long AAL for the 3rd Ex leaf. With shackles, I'm still only at around 3.5" lift, although my shackle angle might be causing about ¾" or so loss of lift.

No, he means a 1" block overall. I ran 4 door explorer leafs with a bronco II main with the eyes cut off, my stock block and an extended shackle and it gave me right around 6" of lift. It flexed alright buy i was never really happy with it. Now i run 63" chevy half ton springs without the overload leaf, my shock block and extended shackle for the same amount of lift with much better flex and ride. There are only 3 leafs in my packs now.

went ahead and torched the ranger leaves, it looks good, perfect with the front. just added the ranger main to the explorer leafs that with stock blocks and belltech shackles is just even with the skyjacker 6" coils up front
