thats what im looking for, but maybe with a lid that opens up and allows me to slide the drawers out on my tool box (the lid has to be open for the drawers to open).

on another note ive been looking at 1.7 SBF roller rocker arms and i decided to order a set to look at. i still need to do more reseach before i pull it apart, but so far it sounds like a solid upgrade without many downfalls. here a link to the parts im talking about http://www.jegs.com/i/Proform/778/66878/10002/-1?CT=999

so i found something rather disturbing last night, which actually made alot of sense once i found it. during my attempt to get home when my truck started acting up my catalytic converter got very hot due to the excessive amount of raw fuel being dumped into the exhaust stream, causing my cat to work over time, which in turn made things get very hot! i either should have replaced the heat shield with a less rusty one when i was restoring things, or i should have put my gutted cat on there, because now i have this:

after i discovered this i was a little upset, but now i just have an excuse to redo the flooring and add some sound deadening / insulation. i took my truck to the car wash to get the salt off, which was a chore with it being below 0* and all. i dont know how the guys in alaksa wash their cars when the water turns to ice as soon as it hits the car, but i give them props!

after getting the icy soap all cleaned off (for the most part) i took it for a ride to see if i could find a good place to test the flex a little better without the front sway bar attached anymore. apparently i thought i was twisting father than i was cause these shots are weak!

I have an indoor wash bay at work and leave it there to dry:D

What kind of bulbs are using in the ranger???

what kind of lights?

i have silver star bulbs in my head lights, my hellas, and my back up lights. in that picture i have the overhead lights, fog lights, back up lights, and electric fan on just to show all the illumination ive got in the cab. once i get the two hellas on the bumper hooked up itll be even brighter!

You're gonna look like the truck from "I am legend"

im not a fraid of the dark, i swear! haha, well i got some more pictures for you guys, i got everything done that i said i was going to, i just wish i would have got the pedals done and painted. i guess ill save that for another day off, then i can remove the brackets for the hellas and paint them too.
i didnt come up with any center caps for the wheels, so i just shot the rotors and axle flanges with the same color black as the wheels and called it good. i weighed these new tires and wheels (50lbs each) and compared it to the mud tires (65lbs each), and im thinking i should see an improvement in gas milage now (for those who dont want to do the math thats 60lbs of dead weiht i lost!). on to the pictures:

i mounted the brackets for the bed xtender and adjusted it to fit properly and im really diggin it, i just need an excuse to use it so i can really test its functionality. its going to work great as a bench for changing into my riding gear at the track and itll keep my shit in the truck when i haul my bike becuase it doesnt fit unless the tail gate is down.

after reading this thread on RPS i might hold off on this install until i find some one selling a rougue performance kit that they didnt use or didnt have the time or balls to install. im pretty sure what i got will be more of a head ache to use since it doesnt have all the parts i need to do this install. does anyone know if the kit rouge is selling has a REAL part number, like from a performance parts manufacturer?

I'm curious, how much paint did you use when you painted your rims?

i used 2 coats of duplicolor self etching primer, and 2-3 heavy coats of dulicolor hi build fleet coating (the same paint i used on my bumper and skid plate for a top coat over the POR15). its definitely not as tough as powder coat, but i only spend $80 on the wheels and paint combined, and the tire machine didnt leave any marks on the wheels.

heres a couple of pics i took on my lunch break, with the bed extender in. im thinking i want to paint it black too, so it matches the rest of the truck you know? i also took a pic of the rescue ranger since i put the 'remaned' KCs on it. they arent as bright as i had expected them to be, but at least they fill the empty space that was there. oh yeah, i forgot to mention it earlier, but theses tires fawking rock! i mean they suck for playing around in the snow with because they grab so hard, but when you just want to go through the snow they are like tank tracks!

i-Pikes FTW. I told you man!:D

i was just looking back through my pictures and you can definitely tell its got leveling coils and spacers now. im excited for the snow were supposed to be getting today and the rest of the week, itll give me a good chance to test out these tires properly, on fresh snow.
