California banning "high" rolling resistant tires

I was always surprised they had an emissions test but no safety.

I'd say let's all just hold everyone to a reasonable standard on both but "reasonable" and government don't seem to go together. I still don't believe a 65 Impala, starting today, can ever create as much pollution as it takes to make one Tesla, but I'm open to being proven wrong.

In my non college educated opinion, an existing older vehicle that's more dirty to drive still generates far less pollution than building a new modern cleaner running vehicle every 3-5+ years. It takes a lot of energy and materials to build a new vehicle vs keeping older ones on the road.

I love how the corporations and the government agree on what the average person has to do, but if you find a way around it, you're a criminal.

And they don't follow any of their rules.

And they don't follow any of their rules.

Don't even get me started on the whole: rules for thee, but not for me thing.

I remember living in Cali when the governator ( who I voted for ) ended the current yearly rolling exemption of smog testing, which was at 1976 at the time, back to 1975 & permanently keeping it there. He also doubled the base vehicle registration fee from $40 a year to $80, overnight and retroactively. I also remember reading a Hot Rod article or editorial by David Freiburger during that time talking about how the governator was driving around in a Hummer with an illegal engine. I don't remember the specifics, if it was federally illegal or just in California.

That and some other CARB BS ( their war on post 1975 carbureted vehicles ) made me decide to permanently leave California.

Point taken. You're right.
Furthermore, FULGRIM HAD THE GREATEST ASCENSION INTO DAMENHOOD OF ALL TIME

You sound like a corpse emperor worshipper.

Personally I found his existence to be creepy and the product of lazy writing. Like they couldn't come up with a new bad guy? Oh wait, they did and then they just threw him away in the second movie.

ALTHOUGH I feel the premise as inspired by one of the Boba Fett books from the 90's, there was a similar character in there that was not a force user and was actually dead basically turned into an animatronic. All dead vs mostly dead, the mechanism was similar though. The rest of the movie was bad enough I think I have only seen it twice but if that was their inspiration I give them half a star for at least doing some research.
