so you finally figured out why it wouldn't work for you?spinning the pump backwards?

so you pretty much made a bracket and it plopped right on?

What does your bracket look like?

Which pump did you go with? How well did the lines work or did you have to redo the pressure line?

yep, dumped the toyota pump and went saginaw on the LC, more responsive steering and a pump that any parts store will have. nice

The pump was off an Econoline 302. Same with the lines.

More info on the original pump is that it's a non Serp setup. You need to find the serp setup for the pulley. The stock RBV pulley will not work with the Saginaw pump. Nearly all the ford steering gears are the same in the RBV, F series and e-series, so any of the lines should bolt up if they are for the Saginaw box.

So far it's been great. I'll be pulling the bracket and beefing it up some. I've got another one to make for a buddy of mine. I've got all the files in cad format for the flat plates. Might get a bunch lazer cut.

I just used the saginaw pump designated as a HD replacement for a 79' T-bird. Shares the same 3 bolt pattern. Have it mounted on my 2.3's bracket right now. Will be swapping it over to my 4.0.

Why do you have the res clocked over so far? Clearance issues?

My guess would be clearance for ac compressor. What pulley's are you guys using? My steering pump is new and loud. I'm sick of these remanned pumps.

The pump I searched through for a T bird does not look like a saginaw pump.
