What is your end game? If you get the extended license to Forscan you can write to the PCM. You obviously would need to know what addresses need to be updated and what the updated values would be. If you could find someone with an identical truck that had had the updates done, you could use their as-built values.

Little to none.

The Solus does not have the ability to program your PCM.

I do not know if ForScan can load an OE calibration file or not. I don't think that I can even get the files without an IDS.

Well, at this point I'm desperate to get rid of the shifting that bashes my head off the steering wheel and maybe get this thing to.perform.better than 9mpg.

My '95 Taurus shifts so smooth I can barely feel it. And, it's got the best Ranger engine ever made, too!

Engage the clutch S-L-O-W-L-Y. That will solve your problem with bashing your head against the steering wheel.

If it's an auto, then you have two choices: Either remove your head, or remove the steering wheel.
