My credo
Give 'yer balls a tug. Fight me.
OK Ford technicians and technician-shaped objects, I'm in search of a way to get ahold of any and all technical service bulletins for my 2011 F350. This piece of sh*t is two steps away from the crusher (no, I will not sell it, I'm either running until I kill it, or until the crusher does).

The next step in my quest to murder the crap out of this thing is to drop a five star tuner on it and see if it makes it into any less of a piece of sh*t, or just flat-out breaks it until I can't bring anything else on it.

I'm almost positive this thing hasn't been to a dealer since built, and I am positive it has not been to a dealer since May of 2013, since it had been off the road and in storage since then.

In order to get a tuner on it, I have to have all of the appropriate software updates made. Fortunately for me, my local Ford dealership is a deep, dark chasm rife with unwashed assh*les of human beings.

I've been told by them that they will not hand over any tsb's on this thing, nor will they "just update software" without paying for other repairs.

Curious if someone out there knows of a way I can get the the entire stack of technical service bulletins on this thing from day one. Or if someone would be willing to grab them, I can post or PM you the VIN number.

Oh, and if anyone is curious as to a status update on this bloated carcass of a truck, it's new trick is either forgetting to shift in the middle of an intersection, or randomly switching between getting 9 or 17 miles per gallon. No middle ground on that one.

Also, if anyone has a spare 1978 or 1979 F250 supercab laying around, PM me some details. I need a new work truck.

You need a new dealer, and to have the trans checked out.

TSB’s are kind of a general heads up for common problems, not really anything specific to a single vehicle.

Like “if a 2009-2012 Romulan Warbird exhibits signs of coolant in the oil, do such and such test to check headgaskets” kind of stuff

Send me the vin. I’ll get them for you.

I have a ‘79 F350 supercab... :thefinger:

But does it have a hemi in it? I only speak hemi.

My neighbor has an 04 Dodge 4x4 with a hemi I could pick up for about $300-400. It needs a caliper, battery, and ??? It’s been sitting for about 3 years.

Check your messages... I sent you all the TSBs on your truck.

Nope...

The 429/460 is the semi-hemi.
I have a 69 that belonged in my 68 Torino, and a 77 in my F250 supercab, and a 91 in my F350 Corsair.

Now people are talking about having hemis... is nothing sacred anymore? We don't want to hear about your butt problems!

Way to ruin it.

It’s a Cummins diesel... :thefinger:
Are you butthurt because it’s not exactly what you think it should be? I don’t give a FU(K about YOUR opinion of what YOU think MY truck should or should not be!
Now go back to fighting over .1 liters.... you don’t want none of this 3.9L!

Ford TSB's are vin specific, if you claim a TSB labor op against a vehicle it doesn't apply to the claim won't get paid. The VIN gets entered in OASIS with symptom codes and it will pull up any that apply to that vehicle. The end of the report states that it's for Ford techs and personnel only and shouldn't be shared. A lot of TSB's are just information- if vehicle A has these symptoms check this, this, and this. Some are repair instructions- if code P0xxx is present replace this. TSB's are not like recalls and if the vehicle hasn't been in a dealer in that long you can get in real trouble without the calibration updates. Please find a better dealer.

I dont care if its a god damn N14. Its still ruining it.

Its your truck your free to do as you wish.

Just like im free to voice my opinion on it.

But chopping up one of the most desireable ford pickups ever built isnt the brightest thing.
