Hello,

We're in the process of swapping out the engine of my 1997 ford ranger 6 cyl.

What we have bought for the replacement engine is an 2001 ford ranger 6 cyl everything's to speck and cubic inch as to the engine size, however the motor mounts do not line up when placing the 2001 engine into the 1997 ford ranger on the 97 engine mounting blocks. I guess my question is where can I have custom made motor mounts to fit inside the 1997 ford ranger for a 2001 ford ranger engine?

Any and all help would kindly be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Dustin G.

Swap the brackets on the block genius.

97 is TTB front axle, 98+ is IFS. This changes the engine cross member and the mounts, and the brackets. Take the mount brackets off the old engine and put them on the new one.

I read this hours ago and I was thinking the same thing. But since I've never owned a 3.0 (never will) I thought maybe it wasn't that easy. :dunno:
