Does any body know if a ford explorer cluster is the same as a ford ranger 1990 4.0l

Clusters are dedicated to the exact workings of each particular vehicle. You need to pull your cluster and read the numbers on the back. Then you need a cluster with those exact numbers for it to work on your vehicle.

Jim, not on a 1990 they aren't. On a 90 it's a gear driven speedo, a tach (maybe) and a bunch of idiot lights. If they look the same it should work just fine.

Each gauge can be removed and replaced as well just pull out mix and match.
