Fitting a 2001-2011 Brush Guard on a 1999 XLT

Anyone had any luck/tips about going about this? I've tried looking for similar styles for a 1999, but I can't find anything. I know it's possible to make anything fit - but was curious if y'all had any ideas?

I think the bumper changed in 2000 or 2001. So, that may be the issue. Ford went with a thinner metal section and more plastic. So, you might have clearance issues trying to get the guard mounted.
