First photos of Maverick

Retirement mobile home community with over 88 acres. And definitely not.

I suppose old people do complain a lot.
Use to live in a trailer part that had the age restrictions lifted before I moved in.
Lots of old ladies sitting at home peeping out their windows. While the old man is at the mason lodge.

Anyway, the Maverick helps out with the mileage mandates while filling the bottom rung of the lineup.

F-450, F-350, F-250, F-150, Ranger, Maverick

6 different levels of "duty" to match your needs.

You said duty... Hehehe

I personally see the Maverick as the new version of the 2000ish Ranger with 4 cylinder engine, 2wd, and the fiberglass leaf springs.

You forgot the F750, F650, F550.

All 3 of you go stand in the corner.

Woohooo corner party!

Woohooo corner party!
You all better be in separate corners.
Keep it up, you’ll be sent to the basement with the cave crickets.

Fords at fault for this too...by pushing shit like the 86 taurus that turned vehicles into uninteresting kitchen appliances with wheels. They did it again in 91 with the explorer, which had familes who otherwise would have bought a sedan or station wagon moving into a market then demanding it change to fit their needs instead of them buying something that fit their needs and leaving our domain alone.

Then they bitch wanting a smoother ride, better MPG, etc etc and we have to do without so they can pussify trucks/SUVs to suit their god damn subdivision needs.

So hell with it. The urbanites/hipsters/youth/millenialls/whatever have managed to suck the friggin life and spirit out of our politics, our country, our way of life, our freedoms, and everything else that made life worth living....they might as well take and suck the damn fun out of vehicles too.

That '86 Taurus saved Ford's bacon. And revolutionized the auto industry. It was a midsized sedan that could seat six or wagon that could seat up to eight, that got better gas mileage than the fullsized wagons of the day, and was easier to drive. Without the Taurus, Ford would have been bankrupt. Taurus was also Ford's answer to the Camry and Accord, by the way.

Maybe so...but it still doesnt change the fact that it ruined the american sedan.

Partially why i respect mopar/fiat/whatever because they atleast are keeping the V8/RWD/sedan platform alive...even if it is unibody and IRS.

Nah....

The ranger was atleast RWD, had a real frame, one real axle, was available with a real transmission (manual) and actually had some ground clearence.

Holy shit.... It’s a little FWD pickup truck. It’s not the end of the entire truck market.

We know Rusty.... it’s not a big cubic inch motor (that makes less than half the horsepower of the current 5.0) stuffed into a truck that weighs a few pounds less than a Sherman tank and has bicycle sized brakes.

I didnt see this yesterday....

HP is worthless. You need torque in a truck and lots of it, in the idle-3500rpm range. So yes a massive inch motor bolted to a creeper 4 backed by a 4.10 is all the power anyone could ever put to good use. No one needs to go yanking their 8000lb camper 75mph down the freeway...

Which brings me to your brake comment...
