First photos of Maverick

Yes, Rusty. Everything you dislike is clearly wrong and means that the entire industry is going to hell.

Or perhaps the world doesn't revolve around you and you shouldn't be so much of a snowflake.
Im not being a damn snowflake. It pisses me off that each year vehicles get uglier, less useful, more expensive, weaker (in the sense of not causing 5000 dollars in damage after you hit a squirrel), less comfortable, more nannyied, etc etc.

Then you got guys like me that are starting to get tired of patching togther old stuff that we actually like driving, but scourging up parts, etc gets old and would like to buy "newer" but nothing has any friggin appeal because of the reasons stated above and why the hell would i pay 500+ a month for some pile of shit thats less capable, ugiler, less comfy, etc etc then what its replacing?

Fords at fault for this too...by pushing shit like the 86 taurus that turned vehicles into uninteresting kitchen appliances with wheels. They did it again in 91 with the explorer, which had familes who otherwise would have bought a sedan or station wagon moving into a market then demanding it change to fit their needs instead of them buying something that fit their needs and leaving our domain alone.

Then they bitch wanting a smoother ride, better MPG, etc etc and we have to do without so they can pussify trucks/SUVs to suit their god damn subdivision needs.

So hell with it. The urbanites/hipsters/youth/millenialls/whatever have managed to suck the friggin life and spirit out of our politics, our country, our way of life, our freedoms, and everything else that made life worth living....they might as well take and suck the damn fun out of vehicles too.

You could have just said 'get off my lawn' and been done with it...

Snowflake:
an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions
I said what I said...

Oh and furthermore, ford was also to blame for the crewcab/5.5ftboxed becoming the standard 1/2ton configuration when they introduced the supercrew in 99 or whatever the hell.

When before that standard config was usually a regcab/longbox.

And now they are ruining shit even more. I have no idea how ford could produce such amazing trucks 30 or 40 years ago and now make this hipster bullshit.

Please help...

I dont think yall understand, Vehicles have always been something im crazy passionate about. I grew up reading magazines, wrenching, hell id even read chiltons FOR FUN.

Guess its impossible to understand for some.

Um... most everyone here understands being passionate about vehicles. That's literally why we're here.

It's your incessant thin skinned level of maximum butt hurt over every little thing you can't stand about modern vehicles that gets a little old sometimes. Not everything is about you.

Never said it was all about me. But i know theres atleast a few others who tend to agree with me around here.

I'd be happy with Maverick if it were available 5/6spd, 4wd or awd, can be lifted without too much hastle, inline engines available, not unibody, can tow a utility trailer, and has a bed or similar.

Yes, but in fact unibody construction has significant advantages in some ways. A space frame can be much stronger than a flat ladder frame, and with modern design tools the structure can be very well understood.

How do all these errors on Ford's part square with "#1 selling vehicle"?

Ford really ruined things way before that. Back when things had real eating/pooping/farting HORSEPOWER.

Then he made it all nice and cheap and everybody thought they had to have a fancy horseless carriage. How dare they build what people want!

As someone wanting a 6.5' bed truck (for my camper) I have to be a severe minority. They is hard to find with a full four door cab.

How do all these errors on Ford's part square with "#1 selling vehicle"?

+1

If people want an archaic truck you can always get a Nissan Frontier or a Toyota Tundra.
