F150 milky fuel out of the filter

Changed the fuel filter on my '94 f150. Clear fuel came out of the outlet, tilted it back and amd Brown murky gunk came outta the inlet. Not sure what caused the murkiness but, it looked gross.

Anyway, thats all.... Haha

Rusted tank or lines... not good but t least the filter did its job. Try to stay away from ethanol fuels (even most regular gasoline has 10% ethanol in it now adays) if you can find pure gasoline use that. Ethanol is hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs water so it can and does rot metal tanks and lines. If you can't find pure gasoline in your area throw in a bottle of "HEET" once in a while, it binds with the water and helps prevent rust buildup.
