92 f150 bogging

You can try cleaning it first. A cleaned OEM IAC is usually better than aftermarket. I've had good luck just taking them off and blasting with brake cleaner.

The truck fires up and runs great. I'll take it down the road, and it will continue to run great for a couple minutes, at which point it bogs down

I would take the PCM out, take the cover off and look for leaky electrolytic capacitors.

Thanks for the advice.
I cleared the codes, ran it through a few drive cycles and nothing came back.
Still runs like shit.
Ran a KOER self test, test came up with "can't control rpm at high rpm"
"Can't control rpm at low rpm"
I'm I'm going to replace the IAC, it is definitely sticky. That should be here next week
Have you tried cleaning the IAC? It should be done as maintenance, seems like we did it every 30k.

No, I didn't think of that till someone else mentioned it.
I already ordered a new one, and it wasn't that expensive, so I'm just waiting for that to arrive.
Should be here pretty quick

Check the operation of the old one, since you already ordered a new one. If it operates ok, before or after cleaning, it might be worth holding on to it as a spare to be swapped out as needed, leaving more time to clean the spare when it is more convenient.

My new IAC came in yesterday, so I installed it. Doesn't seem to make a difference in how it idles.
Could it potentially need a couple drive cycles for the ECM to learn it?

I would unhook the battery and turn the headlight switch on for about 15 minutes after changing something like that. Completely clear the adaptive strategy that way. It'll take a few trips after that for the computer to re-learn everything. Mine always idles odd during that time.

Thanks again!
