cheap c.b.s are out there. have found them at

radio shack (roughly 35$ for a midland)
walmart (roughly 30 bucks for a cobra)
tractor supply (didnt check the price)

all of them were base models and didnt really have any features but they would be fine for truck to truck trail chatter

Cobra is a decent brand, keep in mind they haven't changed the internals since the first one came out 50 years ago. Galaxy is one of the best, a buddy has one and he can talk out to me at 15+ miles. If you buy cheap you will get cheap so keep that in mind.
