My credo
Even though you have a good excuse for failing, you still failed.
I'm trying to add cornering lights to my 2004 FX4 Ranger. I checked at the turn signal stalk and the flasher for 12v when the left and right turn signals are activated but there wasn't any in either location. How do I activate a light to come on continuously while the turn signal is blinking?

I thought there was a write up on this in the Tech Library... but I don't see it.

Must be in a post someone made... did you try a site search?

Welcome to TRS :)

So you want a light that does NOT flash, but just lights up when that sides turn signal is on?

Will need to use front turns only as the triggers, if you want markers in the rear you will need to run a new wire for each side from the front

Will need 2 12volt timer relays, there are quite a few out there
Relay will be triggered by the turn signal wire on that side getting 12volts the first time
Relay will close and light up the marker(s) on that side
Timer starts, it will hold the relay closed, you will need to adjust timer so it resets on each 12volt pulse or series
When turn signal is off the next timer expire will turn off the marker(s) on that side

Relay will need its own key on or full time FUSED power
Which will also power the marker(s)

And you need one relay for each side

Flashing marker is way easier, lol

Thanks for the help.

I like this idea... I honestly think this needs to be a standard equipment safety feature on all cars and trucks. My 2010 Buick Lucerne has this feature, and in addition to to to activating them with the turn signal, they are hooked into the steering so that turning the steering wheel over a certain amount they come on as well, even without the turn signal in put.

The Tucker 48 had a center headlight that turned with steering wheel, great idea

My sister bought a brand new 2022 Subaru Outback last month. the headlights on it turn with the steering wheel but they don't light up the side like the sidemarker lights

My 71 cadi had them.
