I just recently bought a 89 B2. Mine has the electric shift t-case. My local parts yard has an 84 B2 with the manual T-case. My truck has the 2.9L with a FM146 manual tranny. The parts yard truck has an auto tranny with a manual t-case. Wondering if these t-cases were interchangeable? Or how much work would it take to swap to the manual t-case.

Thanks!

outputs the same?

if so its as simple as it looks for the case.

get it all. the shifter, floorplate etc.

I'm gonna hit the junkyard this weekend. I know the shifter, linkage, and the floor plate were in the truck. Not sure about the inputs. Depending on what they want for it, I'll probably buy it.

Here is a pic of my new ride.

That is ford tractor blue. The guy I bought it from painted it with a Wagner power sprayer in his yard! The pictures definitely make it look better than it really does.
