Ok I've decided to go with a stand alone or piggy back system for my turbo ranger. It is a ECC-IV system LA3. What do you guys suggest? Where would I go to get a system. I'm not a wiring genious so a simple system would be awsome. I want to throw away the Trap Door and go with air density or MAF. I want to run E85 fuel aswell.

I am open to anything...

guessing with a LA3 you have a 2.3t...turbodad from turboford.net, he makes up ms2's that are direct plug and play for your motor which includes harness/computer/software and is complete support to start you out to get it running...what other mods do you have done to it

The long block is stock turbocoupe 2.3. It has a ported E6 manifold with a T3/T4 57 trim stage2 exhaust wheel. Supercoupe Throttlebody. 52lb injectors. 255lph pump with adj fuel regulator. FMIC

The truck is getting converted to 4x4 with a solid axle but i want to get the engine tuned before I start.

I went to turboford.net but couldn't find how to register. wrote them a email tho to see if they are working on the website.

you dont need to register to look around...just look around you will find some good ideas on engine management on how other guys are doing it, but id suggest not becoming a member and posting up a new topic they will tell you to do your research and be dicks...just do some trolling

LOL thats sad. I was just going to contact turbodad to see what he wanted for his ms2.

Whats your budget? And how much power are you looking to make?

DIY Auto Tune has put together a great MS kit for the 2.3

Megasquirt is easy, cheap, and there are many writeups on the net.

Quarterhorse and Jaybird are good options if you want to keep the stock computer and wiring harness.

SDS is an awesome system, but it's very pricey..

There are many others...Like FAST, Holley Commander, Accel DFI, Big stuff 3....etc

Oh i might be able to squeeze 1k to spend. I want about 350hp at the flywheel.

Who or how do i get in contact with Quarterhorse or Jaybird? Are they apart of TRS?

Ok i feel like an idiot. They are chips not people. The Quarterhorse looks like a great deal. Can you tune in a MAF with it?
