Hey guys,
I am having a little trouble interpreting these codes, used the CEL method..

Here is what it gave me(l is a flash, _ is a pause, and a longer ___ means a longer pause.)

l _ l _____ l _ l______ l _ llllll _ lll ___ lllll _ lll

Thanks guys, really appreciate it.

the first 2 codes are 11...which means it passed the KOEO self test. the rest is stored codes...looks like 63 which is a throttle position sensor code.

i wouldnt think so. especially since the self test came out ok. that means the TPS was tested and tested OK this time around, the stored code means it was out of range before but must have corrected itself.

Well I have no idea what could be causing the no start. Good fuel pressure, good spark. I am sure that compression couldn't be the factor as it was running the night before.

see if it'll start and/or sputter with some starting fluid. if it does than your injectors arent firing "clogged or PCM ground likely).

OK thanks Wicked, you are a big help! I will pick up some starting fluid in the morning. Do you know of any place to find ground diagrams?

might as well pick up a haynes manual while your out. they are only $15 and will give you all the color codings for wiring.

I feel like a total DUMBASS!!! Well on top of the water in fuel I also found a towel in the air intake hose today, WTF???:icon_confused: Well anyway I am in process of charging my battery right now as I have drained it pretty good trying to crank it :( But I did try a little starting fluid and it almost started so I think I am getting somewhere.

Yeah I know, I'll see if the old beast will start tomorrow. I don't know how to hell it got in there either, I think it might have been when I changed my valve covers, but it drove fine that day. It's weird! Do you know if I have to reset anything? Because when I took it out it still wouldn't start.

no, you shouldnt have to reset anything.

are you sure there was only one rag in there?

Yes I am sure, will try to start again when at home with the charged battery. It wouldn't start before on another occasion about a year ago, and it was after trying to restart after filling with gas. Once I received a jump start from the gas attendant's car, it started right up.

My charger doesn't work anymore :(
But, I did try to start it this evening and it tried to start this time! It tried to fire a few times a second, but still no start. What could I check for now?

i wonder what your base timing looks like....

did you try hitting it with starting fluid while cranking it?
