Hey bros,
Just got me a 93 ranger, 4.0, 2wd, 5 spd.
120k miles, FOR 1500 BUCKS!
It runs fantastic, looks great, I am absolutely in love with it. I previously owned a 96 explorer 4.0 ohv which was my trusty daily. RIP (rolled 3 times off the side of the road)
I'm new to the m50d-r1. My exploder was auto.
So the catch with my new baby is the tranny whines in 1st-3rd, and back again in 5th. Obviously bearings in the trans will need to be replaced. My question is, should i check a junkyard around me for one and just rebuild it? Problem is, I don't have a hydraulic press to get the bearings off the shafts.
ANY IDEARS??
