Will an M90 Eaton SC off a TBird fit a 4.0L Explorer engine? I know those SC's are meant for 3.8L's but 4.0's aren't that much bigger...

It requires a custom upper intake. You can usually find them on eBay.

Oh yeah? What kind of custom intake?

One to mount the M90 too. The 3.8L upper intake won't work.

Will I have to make any modifications to my engine if its stock? How much boost should I stay with on a stock motor?

You will have to get oil from some location.

I would stay under 10 PSI for a stock engine.

M90's don't require an oil feed.
I have yet to see any Eaton supercharger that does.

Ok, so besides the SC unit, what will I need to purchase in addition to the intake?

1991 4.0L OHV. I KNOW I need a new belt, that's a no-brainer lol.

Well, you did ask if there was ANYTHING else! LOL. Nah, but seriously I would go with a bigger rad to keep that sucker cool when that extra compression is added! Also, an egt guage, and maybe big ass tranny cooler if you got an a4ld. That thing could barely handle the 4.0's power in stock form!

they made a kit a long time ago for the ohv but the kit i see all the time on ebay is for the sohc so make sure you find the right kit.

I have a 5 speed...do I need an intercooler if I go with a bigger radiator?
