It didn't take much convincing to duraspark once the ignition modules starting going out every few thousand miles. Instead of using a Ford module, I went with a GM HEI instead. Fingers crossed that my truck stops randomly shutting off at the worst possible moments.
I put the coil and ignition module in an aluminum box with a heatsink mounted on the passenger side. The goal was to keep things easy to change in case I ended up on the side of the road again. I'll only need a screw driver and a pair of pliers to change the unit...instead of using a deep 5.5mm 1/4" drive socket between the dizzy and firewall.

Runs pretty good, but the dizzy will sometimes hiss when the coil is charged. Any ideas?
