I think I am ok, I looked and there is no oil leakage and there appears to be a seal in it, but is it ok to drive without the front driveshaft installed. I am only worried about running it out of fluid.

Just need some reassurance.

I only plan to have it out for one day, tomorrow, as I am grinding all the rust and dried up oil off and painting it black.

What car? If there is a yoke on the t-case it's fine. If there is a big hole then it's not fine.

It's the B2. There is no yoke. It's the 1350. But there is no hole either. Just the female slip yoke and it's centered in the opening with what looks like a bearing and seals. The driveshaft has a big rubber boot, but the inside of the boot is dry, meaning I don't think lube ever gets out that far.

The only worry on a 13-50 is dirt and crap getting into the exposed female spline.

The front driveshaft doesn't keep the oil in the T-case.
