Driving question

That isn't a muddy road. This is.

It's just a matter of time before we start seeing the subbie drivers thinking they can drive on that.

Can get excessive heat from calipers that don't retract. Different issue, but I've seen it (not on my vehicles).
I did not have a brake heating problem because I was slow and what I call feathering the brakes or you may call it pumping but the point is not -riding- them which will heat them up faster. Call it intermittent braking maybe.
I understand some places (O'Reilly I think) will turn rotors. In the old days everyone did it.
I'd rather be driving than riding any day.

I beat mine anywhere it would go 🙂 had it covered in mud 1" thick multiple times.

I did the same with my 2001 and 1999 Honda CR-Vs. One just has to be careful not to tweak the uni-body. Strut braces help.

Use a lower gear going down, save the brakes
1 or 2 depending on the grade

Not 4L, its good for slow speeds with good traction, crawling, but can be to "torquey" on slippery surfaces

Even with an automatic, I do that. Constantly turning the OD off. Shifting from drive to 2nd. My stock front brakes on my 98 lasted until 2013, rears lasted until 2017.

My 2004 Lightning still has all the original brake pads at 75,400 miles.

I cracked my windshield once from flexing the car around too much on 3 wheels lol

One of the forum members on the HondaSUV forum had a permanent gap in his front fender by the door for tweaking his frame.
