even with how much i embrace many of the ideals of CSA...i still wouldnt consider Union to be a foreign country being as they were already here when the country was being united

Any way you look at it.combat is changing.securing a border is not possible without the dark days of Soviet era check points and identification papers.you also have to be willing to imprison 1 innocent for every guilty. There is a reason they did it that way back then.
Guerrilla warfare has proven effective every where in the world in defence. I shudder to think what would happen if even 10 self righteous persons of any persuasion decided to act like the beltway sniper but just a tiny bit smarter..
