Hey guys,
My 1994 mazda b3000 was recently broken into and they ripped out the stereo, one rear speaker and took the battery. After replacing the battery (still without tunes :( ) I noticed the dome light didn't work. I replaced a blown fuse and it lit up but would not turn off...at all. not when the door was shut and would not respond to twisting the headlight switch. I have just been driving without it, but was thinking is there a way that the door jam switch was shorted out during the theft? Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks!
Kyle

Make sure stereo wires are not shorting.

Could be door switch on either door is shorted, I would push them in manually and see what they "feel like".

Did they pull out any wires under the dash?
Wondering why the fuse was blown

the stereo wires were all cleanly cut and before installing a battery I taped them all with electrical tape. So I shouldnt be shorting there... I didnt notice any other wires being affected. I bought a switch to replace the jam, just havnt gotten around to it yet. i was going to test it first.

Dont know what happened during the theft, but i went to replace the switch, autozone gave me the wrong one so I reinstalled the original and i works, must have just been a coincidental thing, bad connection i guess? I have light!

Thanks for the update :icon_thumby:
