Doing a "weekend" project

Today's project is figuring this part out.. I'll probably go look at the exploder to see where they originally bolted to.

Interested with what you come up with, I'm about to do the same swap. ^^^

Darker one is from my 99... won't fit on the 97 bracket, but the 97 won't work with my seat belts.

Going to cut this tab off to make that part work... But I'm still working on the rail the seatbelt slides on as you move the seat

This is the rail system the explorer seatbelt moves on. The hole with blue lock-tite is where the belt bolts in.

This how the factory ranger bolts in. Note the hole for that tab I want to grind off.

Bent the bracket about 20-30 degrees, put a 2 1/2" bolt through with washers as a spacer. This is a life saving mount, so use the right strength bolt.

Eventually I may make a better spacer, but for now the washers worked like a champ.

Do not do that washer idea... pull the sliders off the seat and do this

The tabs previously mentioned still need to be cut off, and the driver's side and passengers side need to flip. Your seat belt warning won't work like this, but I already had mine disabled.

Everything is done... too dark for pictures though.

Sorry about taking so long, but I've been swamped with work stuff today.

Here is a quick shot of everything put back together

This is harder to take pictures of than I thought...

The pictures make the seats filthy still..... what the hell. They look much better in person. Maybe its back to olive oil treatments on tuesday.

What year Explorer seats are those? Any mounting issues? Thanks.

They look like my 96 expo eb's just not eddies I think

I just wanna go fast [emoji48]
