Does anyone have any experience with universal sweep kits?

I purchased a universal window sweep kit for my b2.
The clips need to be attached, once you've identified the correct spacing.

Any pointers on how to install them would be very much appreciated.

From what I can see in your pic, my take on it is that you push the top of the clip onto the lip that's on the sweep:

Of course, you need to put the clips on the new sweep in the same places that your original sweep has clips. I doubt that they're very forgiving if you try to move and reset one after it's been put on.

Note that the spacing on the clips was different on the every piece of the kit for my 1st gen. No idea why. Seems like it would've been cheaper to make them the same on both sides, but no it's 4 completely unique parts.

The clips are on the flimsy side, and don't pierce though the sweep material enough to secure. I'll try pre-drilling some small holes and try again.

Maybe plan B could be securing them with pop-rivets.
No, I don't think that won't work...have to think of another plan B

Trick was to drill a small pilot-hole (when necessary), as the felt backing can prevent clip points from extending far enough to secure correctly.

After a few installs, you will develop a technique to bend the tabs while maintaining pressure.

One less item on my to-do list...cheers
