I’ve been seriously considering the 1350/54 doubler build. I have found a thread where a few folks say that the machined shaft between the 1350 and 1354 breaks. Has anyone else had the same experience? Is there any way to insure that this doesn’t happen? I’m sure building a chromoly shaft from scratch would work but that sounds $$.

Bump...
Checking to see if someone has a solid solution to the potentially weak connecting shaft between the 1350 and 1354.

No personal experience with it, but this seems like a good solid solution to me:

I’d be interested too, maybe get one of the custom CNC shops to build shafts and harden them. Then it could be stored digitally and build as needed. I’ve got most of the parts on a shelf, just trying to figure out a shaft solution.

FWIW, early last September I ordered the doubler, shifters, 1354 shift conversion..... everything, from behemoth.
November, I asked him to ship something, ANYTHING, he gave tracking numbers that UPS had no pickup on. Never received anything.
By the end of December I contested with my cc company, got it credited.

Incredible looking products, just can’t figure out how to buy them.
