- My credo
- Giving my truck more money than it deserves.
I have my hands on what might be some of the last NOS body mounts for the early Rangers/BroncoII. I'm using CAD to model up some 3D-printable molds in hopes of making it so anyone can cast their own. Some of the mounts have internal metal structures that have potentially acceptable substitutes available on McMaster. Smooth-On makes a line of "PMC" urethane that looks like it could fit the bill. "VytaFlex" looks like it might also work and be much easier to use. I'm spinning up my printer now to see what they look like. I have some more complex ones that I'm not sure how to model yet.
I'm curious what hosting you guys like for .stl files. Also if anyone would be brave enough to try out the prints on their own trucks and check my work.
Once I'm a bit more clear on the feasibility of this I will create a writeup/library thread for it with instructions.
