Got the missing piece for my clutch line.

Also picked up a driveshaft from a Town Car. Shortened it 4.5". I'll have it balanced later on.

I leave the driveshaft shortening to a shop, only 35 for them to shorten plus replace the u joints if I supply them.

I always have before, but I have been told by several locals to do it myself. Figured it was a good opportunity to on a $10 shaft.

Just balance it yourself. All you need is a pair of hose clamps and a buttometer.

Now if the shafts were 10 bucks then yes but I get mine for 25.

I've heard of the hose clamp thing but figured I would take the easy way out plus help keep a small business in business. The guy I take it to is in his 60s and works alone but is well known and the only guy in town that will do it.

Today I welded in O2 bungs. Added 2 to each side in case I add a wideband or something later. Filled the holes with junk O2s.

Tried to make the belt routing work with serpentine belts I already had. Here are 2 scenarios. I like the first better, but I will need one a tad shorter. The second works as is. Also got another t-stat housing.

I think I finally got enough clearance to keep the stock Focus fans as well. I can use the Focus ECU to control them.

which belt setup turns the water pump in the right direction???

Robert

sent with a taped show and a broken cd cover.

From what my little brain can tell, both setups turn the water pump reverse rotation.

Personally I would go with the first. The second has alot of belt that can flop due to nothing keeping tension on it.

I probably will, but I would need a new belt for that.

But less chance of it coming off too unless you can put a tensioner of some kind on top of the second setup.

I could probably find a smaller idler.

Dustin, I would personally go with the first set-up....mostly because if you had a belt issue, it looks like you would have to remove the upper rad hose...

antifreeze isn't cheap, so I would just get a belt that fits properly....
