disciplerocks's B2 build thread

That I dont know yet. I was already rubbing my arms with the 32s. I don't want to have to add spacers. As far as the fenders, I'll check it all after getting the front end back together. I am replacing all 3 front axle u joints at the moment.

I got a damn black midget taking up the time and tools right now....I can only work on one project at a time!! :thefinger:

Don't take your "I sold or got rid of my B2 years ago" anxieties out on me & Dustin. We got B2s & I think I can speak for him, WE AIN'T GETTING RID OF THEM!! :thefinger:

I didn't say anything about getting rid of any B2, and if I came across another, I'd have one in a heartbeat...I just said it's taking up the time and tools to work on the other projects going on at the mad scientist's shop...:D

then finish it :stirthepot::buttkick:

lol i know i know you dont work on it unless jay is there

Well, after all, it is his project, and I'm helping him build it the way he wants it done. So I can't build it without him, as he may change his mind about things along the build...I do have a day here and there when he has things to do, but majority is spent cleaning up around the shop and doing little things...Right now I have some other stuff going on, so it's got my projects on hold for a few, so thats another reason why I have no progress on my projects...Tomorrow I plan to start pulling the motor, trans, tcase and PTO pump out of FordZilla so we can put the motor, trans and tcase in WCB2....

Well hurry up.

Got the pumpkin removed today and took all 3 axle shafts to Greg's to press out the joints. And realized I am going to have to make a 3rd trip to the parts store for the correct u-joints.

I am really wishing I would have ordered a locker before doing all this. I dont want to have to remove the pumpkin again in a couple weeks, then remove it again sometime after that when I can afford gears.

i just did that, luckily i lived right behind an autozone i used to work at
if you still havent gotten them, autozone part #'s are
1-0297DL (2 yr warranty)
1-0297DG (lifetime warranty)
i couldnt afford the $30 spicer joints

Same here. I found the part number online last night. I should have done that to begin with. I usually do, but I guess I just put too much faith in the parts guy to do his job this time.

oh you should NEVER do that at autozone. other parts stores may be different, but autozone has a rule that they have to hire the dumbest, least qualified person available.

we had so many idiots that worked at my store, it made me so mad....i love not working there anymore. i dont claim to everything about cars, but some of the people didnt know the difference between anitfreeze and power steering fluid

when i was working at canadian tire i had a kid that i had to train going on and on about how he knew everything about cars. (really only knew ricers and not the real ones that actually go fast) i had him searching through the computer for a sparkplug for a 2000 7.3 f250 for a half hour.

its was so fun

New u-joints in, welded the caps, reinstalled the pumpkin and the passenger side put back together.

I stole the rotors off the Explorer, but the lugs on them are shorter than the ones I had on, so I can't keep the .5" spacers I had which means more rubbing.

Full clips on inner shaft:

Also had someone give me some money to hold the transmission and tc till tomorrow.
