disciplerocks's B2 build thread

I can just get some extensions for mine for about $10 a piece. It will put them around 39" which is a bit much, but better than too short.

Got the old rear axle out and the new one in. Old axles officially for sale. Nothing hooked up yet. Gonna warranty out my rear shocks and I am still wanting to replace my leafs while its apart, but I don't think that is going to happen.

Couple random things to hook up, finish steering, add brake line extensions, align it, then hope there are no issues.

Do you have a part number for the brake lines? Or where did you get em?

I am using the 26" lines in the tech library and plan on picking up the extensions also in the tech library. Part number 88291.

Also found the part number H49757 works too. Some places can't find it by the first one. I did some searching and found the extension is actually for a 64.5-66 Mustang. Might be easier to look it up that way.

Had to order an extension for the rear. Should be in today. Gotta fill up both diffs and bleed brakes. Hoping to get it out of the garage tonight.

Do I need to add friction modifier to the front with the Aussie? Or is that just for L/S?

Just wanted to make sure

Yup, just straight gear lube. And in the rear, only put about a quarter of the bottle in. Fritction modifier makes the clutches slip easier, so less is better off road.

Rear is welded now, but thanks

BII is looking good man. :icon_thumby:

Looks like you'll have some pretty decent wheel travel up front.

You are making me want to work on my BII now, instead of my bike....

let me know how the welded diff treats you

It'll treat him just like a locker would, only, it doesn't ever unlock. :icon_twisted:

Thinking about welding yours boggin?

have been for hte past year or more lol, slo-vo talked me into it. im pretty sure on doing it.

going to be temporary until I can afford another locker. Then I'll 0ick up another carier and have the ring installed on it.
