Hey you all. I've been most impressed:yahoo: with the BroncoIICorral. Dick Davis's Bronco II Hell is totally, "Yee-hah" fun. They didn't seem to have much in the way of modified, suspensions but the engines, sounded radical:headbang: unless you just tore off your, exhausts just tearing around:icon_hornsup:.
I've had my, '87 Bronco II for over 3 years now. I loved the Bronco II since high school. My cousins best friend's had one. He beat the tar out of it. Gittin' stuck and having our friend Marvin, fall in this huge mud puddle trying to weight the front end down. Lots of laughs indeed.
I spent gobs of money on my Bronco II rebuilding the transmission and transaxle. I recently put on a new fuel, pressure, regulator and it runs like a raped ape. I love the truck and I always wanted one but when I bought it, I wanted a 4WD F-150 but I got a 2WD F150 and a 4WD Bronco II. I recently got a '98 Escort for the wife for the convenience of her job. She'd been driving the Bronco II exclusively. I just recently started driving it every day. Bronco II needs a paint job and the A/C system converted from R-12 to 134-A. I have to sell it for money but I love it.
My F-150 can carry dirt, drywall, logs and lumber and we can camp under the cap but it's not 4WD. Bronco II seems impractical but fuuun:icon_thumby:.
So, fellow Ford lovers, I'm asking for advice on my dilemma?

Welcome, I answered on your "short form" question on another post, then I found this one. I am biased to the BII, so I would tell you to sell the F-150 & take a vacation or keep them both & grab a tent, hop in the BII & spend some quality time with the wife(& kids if it's a family thing) camping under the stars:icon_thumby:

Sell the escort for gas & camping supplies! Dilemma solved!:icon_idea:

Convenience.

Sell the Escort? (My wife needs the shorty vehicle for her job.) I have two trucks all to myself now. I guess, I ought to be in guy, manly, heaven.
I wish I could push the Bronco II into the 2WD F-150. Ah, my kingdom for a four wheel drive truck. Wait a minute I have one. The cargo free, Ranger, the Bronco II.
I pose another question to ye Ford lovers. Is the Bronco II an SUV since '82-'93 is technically before SUV's were called SUV's. I'd say "yay" on the sport but what of the "utility"?

Sell the 150, buy a 4x4 Ranger, modify the living crap outta the BII and as for "utility", thats a state of mind. Zen man, Zen, become one with the Bronco II, Grasshopper. I have both , 86 Ranger 4x4 and an 84 Bronco II, and my latest project, 94 Probe GT. Ford will live forever.......

After 15 years as a Bronco II owner and driver. I'm telling you guys. One should have an F-150 or the like to drive when your, Bronco II is down.
