Going to start scrounging the junkyards for parts to do a fuel injection swap on ouy 84 BII. i noticed that LMC and all the parts places list a different tank for an 84 then the other years. There is an 88 in the junkyard, I was just going to grab the pump/sending unit off of it, will it fit in the 84 tank?

The 84 sender was quite smaller. Not sure if it was changed in 85. but once the FI came out the hole got bigger to accomodate the pump.

I'd grab the tank if it's in good shape.

Turns out that the local junkyards punch holes in the tanks of all the cars they get. I snagged the pump/sending unit, both feed and return lines from the tank to the fuel rail, and the in-line high pressure pump. I guess i will just buy a new tank, they are about 100 dollars.

85-90 the tanks are the same. 84 is it's own deal. the 1985 sender is basically like a 86-88 sender without the return line fitting and the pump wires for the sender so the plug is different.
