I was working for my old uncle today, had to grind off a whole skidder like this

not sure how much im getting paid (still gotta do 4 wheels tomorrow) but it should be a fair dollar, and he got a bit more work for me to do on his house.

now he has a 1994 Ranger STX supercab, its a 3.0 automatic, are these engines any good? is the aftermarket any good for these? she got a electric transfer case thatd id swap for a manual that i already have
to pass inspection she needs a tailpipe which comes with her and rear brakes, and she comes with the brake shoes,2 wheel cylinders, flex line, and 2 steel lines, and 2 rear axle seals.
He was selling her for $1000, but he told me he would sell her to me for $500. but i told him i dont have that much money. so he told me to save up a couple dollars and all the work im doing for him now, he will jus take off the bill for the truck
he also got a spare truck for parts that i can get whatever i need off it, grill, hood, fenders, doors, whatever. the truck isnt rusty besides one spot on the fender, i took a quick look down under and she looks good.
he said if im real interested he will get her out and blow up all the tires for me and what not. i took a look under the hood hopeing for a 4.0 but it was just a 3.0.. auto trans is fine for me since i like do to rock crawling and some high speed racing that would require 2 hands on the wheel lol
so do you guys think this would be a good deal? or am i wasting my time
And you all know about my collection of trucks but one of my b2s i would take the transfer case from for this truck and crush her, the other is going to my pops and the other rangers are fine where they are.

shes identical to this one:

same color, stx grille and gay pinstriping on the side

i got lots but i kinda do need a good one, most of mine need alot of work to pass inspection and this one dont need anything. i need a good newer reliable ranger that i can get put on the road when i get my beginners next year and mine will need alot of attention to be put on the road and i cant afford to spend all the money on em to get em on the road

runs, no rust, not sure on miles. cant be very many cause he has a fullsize GMC that he uses

and forgot to add she got all new u-joints

take the truck. fix it up with parts from all your other rbv's that will fit on it. sell the rest of your parts and rbv's you don't want or need here on TRS! you'll be happy and you will probably make a few folks happy on here as well doing that. good luck!!

I agree, get rid of all the rangers and broncos, get this truck, lift it enough for your 33s and drive it, that way your only working on one machine instead of having all those projects that seem to get alot done in a few weeks but never get finished this would be a ideal truck for you, DONT TAKE IT APART! fix what needs to be fixed, sell your other trucks and focus on keeping this in good shape.

im cool with getting rid of all my rangers but i would NEVER get rid of my 79. i dont wanna take the 33s off her so ill take the 31s that used to be on her and put on this ranger with a 3" body lift, keep this tcase until it takes a shit and have my other manual one just on hand for incase the electric does ttake a shit and swap the hubs for some manual ones and have a laugh in her. dont wanna disassemble and reassemble like all my other trucks i wanna use this one and keep my 79 for building. just general maintance on the ranger and a couple mods

its gonna take a lot of hard work but im gonna take a real real good look at this truck and if its worth it, ill do it

Your a nut! LOL Take the ranger, get rid of the rest, you dont need anymore junk. Before you learn any more about vehicles you gotta learn something about responsibilty man. NOt trying to be mean, just makin a point.
