A good dependable truck gets you to work so you can make money to invest in something else.
If no one wants to buy the stuff you have scrap it for $$ on your good truck.

For $500 definitely get it, even if you don't end up wanting to keep it you could easily make your money back or more by reselling it. I am so glad I jumped on my B4000 for $500, even with having to put another 500 into it, it's still been more than worth it. A ranger that drives and isn't completely rusted out easily pulls about 3x that amount on craigslist/ebay.

I know it may be alot to you, but think I bought a similar truck with a 5spd for $2200 last year and I thought that was a good price. $1000+ later in parts and it's still a great deal.

Swap the auto out for a 5spd....problem solved.

Don't think, do it. It's a great base for a good build.

drove her out about 15 feet from where she was parked cause she didint have much gas, but he told me to bring up some gas and i can drive her up the road and out to sandy point (old dirt road) for a ride. here is pics of before i took her out

Man how I would love to have tilt wheel in my truck, that's the only thing I really don't like about it. If you don't get that truck for $500 you're crazy, especially if all it needs to go down the road is gas and a little air in the tires.

well me and fx2prerunner are working out a deal with another guy and im gonna get a set of 33" super swampers on ranger rims and fx2 is gonna get the 33s on my 79 along with some other parts
