dangerranger1983 build

Just clean the holes really good with brake clean, fill the holes with JB, put the bolts in and let the JB cure before you drive it. It should be good.

Thats my exact plan of action and hope that if all goes well, start on it Sunday, latest Monday. Im not going to kill myself and try to do it all in one day again plus Im not changing out a clutch and whatnot either so it should only take half the time. Also last time the trans was out, it was its first time being out of the vehicle so this time around, all the bolts have had a previous breaking loose so it shouldnt be to bad.

Oh and lets hope I dont break another yoke setup this time around.

Hope not cause I don't have any extras.

Hit the trans pulled, bolts jb welded in and more letting that cure overnight and how like hell have it up and driving tomorrow.

Okay now for more details. Pulling the trans, I snapped the slave line but that happened right next to the slave on the trans so I was able to reuse it, only lost a half inch to it. There was one bolt left in its hole and it was half way out anyways so it wasn't doing anything.

Yes I do relize now I can't easily replace the slave now but if it goes out on me before the swap, the swap will happen right now then and there.

Got the trans pulled.....

fixed it for you.:thefinger:

Alright it drives yet again which means I should be able to make it to the ranger meet this weekend.

And yes pictures of it all.

JB weld on the outside of the top bolts. Yes all of them got a good coat on the threads.

Since I had to do the instalation alone due to the family cars water pump went out so found a subsitute and turns out it was safer and faster to do it this way.

And yes the blood part of it. Smashed my finger between the frame and the transfercase. Still hurts 3 hours later, smashed it right on the joint.

Alright finally got pics of the parts I got. Started raining outside as I was finally able to unpack the truck.

Got what looks to be a fairly new starter, an alternator and the oil adaptor for the block.

Got the adaptor on the engine. Im not to worried about its orentation, where the In and outs are will work just fine. I do need to see if my canister type oil sensor unit will work in place of the small one that is on the block, thats next.

The fittings arent 100% in, just showing where they will be at for the time being.

Oh ya and the dipstick. I dont know where to have the bracket mount to, may just make a custom thing for it to be able to mount. It is solid as it sits so I dont know yet.

Had time to clean and mount the motor mounts to the engine. I didnt paint them, ran out the other day but not to worried about them anyways.
